Rhinoplasty involves the meticulous sculpting and manipulation of underlying cartilage and bone. In the hands of an experienced rhinoplasty specialist, the most natural-looking outcome can be achieved, one that complements and even enhances your other facial features. For the most natural and longest-lasting rhinoplasty results in both primary and revision procedures, Dr. Epstein utilizes an open structural approach to reveal a nose that not only looks aesthetically pleasing but also allows you to breathe well.
For over two decades, Dr. Epstein has been continually developing advanced rhinoplasty techniques for particularly ethnic patients, allowing him to achieve consistent natural-appearing results. He is board certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology, as well as the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (where he earned the highest score in the nation on his exams), and is committed to excellence.
Dr. Epstein has met all the qualifications to be considered an expert in rhinoplasty. He personally performs all steps of each procedure ensuring the best possible results.
The role of computer imaging is used in the planning process to establish realistic expectations, and also as a tool for you to properly communicate your goals to Dr. Epstein.
Once Dr. Epstein understands your desired final look, he can sculpt a natural looking nose that enhances your facial harmony.
As a rhinoplasty specialist, Dr. Epstein performs a large number of revision cases to repair work done previously. One of the greatest challenges with revision rhinoplasty is the unknown status of the supporting structures from prior maneuvers. By using the open approach, Dr. Epstein is able to accurately assess the status of the existing cartilage, then do the work necessary to achieve the most natural and aesthetic correction.
Dr. Epstein performs all his rhinoplasty surgeries in his accredited Miami surgical facility. These are outpatient procedures performed under general anesthesia that allow the patient to recover in the comfort of his/her home or, if from out of town as many of Dr. Epstein’s patients are, in the hotel, that same day.
Some bruising and swelling are common and can take five to 10 days to fully recover. There is typically little pain afterwards, rather a feeling of uncomfortableness. Patients are to keep the head elevated for the first three days after surgery, after which light physical activity can be resumed. On the eighth day the splint and all sutures are removed, and by two weeks patients can return to most strenuous activities like yoga and working out, avoiding those that carry the risk of any physical contact to the nose for the first six weeks.
