Hair Cloning For Men and Women

What is Hair Cloning?

Hair Cloning, also known as Hair Regeneration, is the process by which healthy hair follicles are cloned for later use. Cryopreservation allows the cloned hairs to be stored for many years until you need them when your natural hair begins to thin and fall out. The cloned hairs will then be used to restore the appearance of a full head of hair!

Dr. Epstein is proud to be the only HairClone® Associate covering South Florida. HairClone® is the leading and most well-respected hair follicle bank for cloned hairs.

Hair Rejuvenation with Hair Clones

Typically when hair loss occurs hair transplantation is the only true way to restore fullness.

This requires healthy donor hairs to be available from other body parts such as the chest, back, or beard.

When you have hair clones available, healthy hair will not need to be taken from other parts of the body. Instead, the cloned hair will be introduced to rejuvenate thinning hair and to add brand new hairs.

How Hair Clones Are Preserved

Hair clones go through a cryopreservation process where the biological constructs are preserved by cooling them to very low temperatures (typically -176°F or 384°F).

The cryopreservation method reaches low temperatures without causing damage by the formation of ice during the normal freezing process.

At the low temperatures that the hair clones are stored any chemical activity in the cells is effectively stopped, allowing the hair to be stored for many years. When thawed correctly the hairs are then able to function normally.
